Feeding 3 million Children in 33 days

There was a great conference call with Jack Canfield - Chicken soup For The Soul - author - today - talking on the Law of Attraction - but specifically for the folks at Feed 333.. who are setting out to raise the money to feed 3 million children in 33 days.

By the sound of all the voices on the conference call, they are getting off to a great start.
Check out their site - as they are also offering some interesting downloadable ebooks, music and on line courses for everyone who donates a little or a lot.

And if you haven't seen the Secret yet.. well it is a good time to watch it. Buying it from the Feed333 site will feed 11 children for a day. But be aware if you are in Australia this site only supplies the US format. And in that case you need to get it from here.

The concept behind it is clean and clear and the sense of bring the small light into the darkness to light up the world is exactly what this blog from Best Health is really about. Sit with the movie, enjoy it and let the peace and love of its words fill your heart.

With blessings also from us at Best Health for the time of celebration and family - Christmas.

Energy Healing

Good posts on this site about energy healing.. which goes way beyond that of the normal medical paradigm of "lets look for the smallest particle that has gone wrong and find a drug that will fix it".

Energy healing looks to balance to field of the person being healed. I would like to suggest that CHIOS Energy Field Healing drop the word 'patient" from their vocabulary. "Patient" puts the receiver of the energy healing right back into the framework of one who is being worked on.. one who has no responsibilty in their own healing, but one who is the victim is some sense of the word.

Let us assume responsibility for our own health with the aid of others who may assist us to return to coherence, to balance to wholeness.

Thank you CHIOS for the good word and the good work - but please delete "patient" from your vocabulary. Thank you again.

Kuwait Adventure

Silence on this blog for a couple of weeks.. once again I have been away - this time in Kuwait. The desert - an interesting land, with a warm and hospitable people totally involved in 'family' however a short stay there helps me realise how happy I am that I am privileged to live in Australia.

A population of 2.9 million - yes they have no tax,and yes it costs about 1/8th to fill the tank as it does here.. 1 vehicle to every 2.8 residents, in 2005 reported accidents 56,253, 451 deaths on the road - and over 1 million registered vehicles. Everyone talks on their mobile phone while driving - no-one seems to obey any rules. So sedate Perth's 50 km limits and nanny state rules are almost welcome on my return.

The land is barren.. well it is desert! But the people imagine that they are in nature when in fact they are right next to two highways and sundry high power overhead lines as well as building sites and dust storms.

Thank goodness for quiet old Perth's clean beaches and quiet nights with the worst noise being that of the crickets outside my window.

And to think that I .. a lone female would be overjoyed at the welcoming smile on the cab drivers face at Singapore airport as I landed on my way back home. He was saying hello.. something that I did not experience from a male freely anywhere in Kuwait.

Travel is a wonderful thing - it opens our eyes to those on the other side of the world, it helps us to realise we are world citizens and that the thing we should be afraid of - as they said on the last Glass House last night.. is not those who are different or who have a different God, but those who are stupid! Hail to the difference.. Hail to those who live and love in all different guises and let us become full of light, and leave the ignorance of bigotry and fear behind us.

It exists here as much as it does in the Middle East .. the Mid West and the out back! and .. thank my existence for being able to live it the beauty and peacefulness of Perth Western Australia.

Junk Food and Violence Linked by Study

Finally - research on British and US offenders suggest that nutrition may play a role in aggressive behaviour. Omega-3 fatty acids are helping folks to become more balanced and sane.

They say:
....the new research calls into question the very basis of criminal justice and the notion of culpability. It suggests that individuals may not always be responsible for their aggression. Taken together with a study in a high-security prison for young offenders in the UK, it shows that violent behaviour may be attributable at least in part to nutritional deficiencies.

A 37% decrease in violent offences has been seen in people who were given multivitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids.

Have a look at the full article it is very interesting.

Especially the chart of a young offenders usuall diet!! Yeek!!

Fall of the Berlin Wall

On this day in 1989, Communist-controlled East Germany opened gates in the Berlin Wall allowing its citizens to freely travel into West Germany. After 28 years of separation for East and West, East Germans surged through at midnight cheering and shouting and were met by jubilant West Berliners on the other side. Ecstatic crowds clambered up the Wall, danced along the top and eventually began hacking large chunks from it with hand tools.

This was a great day for freedom and worth our thoughts today!

Italian Adventure

I have been on holiday so no posts in the past couple of weeks! That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!! A recommended sojourn - but I would absolutely suggest that you don't try to do as much as we did in a short time.

Pick an area and stay there! We did Rome 3 days - Amalfi Coast 3 days - Cinque Terre 3 days - then Tuscany for the remaining 4.

Tuscany - or Toscana in local lingua - and Cinque Terre woudl have been plenty. In fact two weeks in Toscana would have been fabulous. So much to see and do - Florence itself could warrant at least 5 days!

So I have made a resolution - at least two good holidays a year - what's the point of grinding our noses into the ground - let's get out there and get some different viewpoints on life and enjoy - after all life is meant to be enjoyed I am sure.

Integrative Medicine - a better term for alternative or complementary -

Dr Andrew Weil twice featured on the front cover of Time Magazine said yesterday:

I don't advocate alternative medicine. I think integrative medicine is clearly the way of the future. It's not about rejecting standard medicine or embracing alternative therapies uncritically. It's a new model that really looks at the whole person and looks at lifestyle and places great importance on the doctor-patient relationship, and then is willing to look outside the box to find treatments that are effective.
So I think that the term "integrative medicine" is really acceptable in academic discourse. ... I hope that eventually that this will replace the terms "alternative medicine" and "complementary medicine."
As I said, I am just very convinced that this is the way of the future.

We totally agree - integrative medicine is definitely a term we feel expresses the way of the future in health care.

New Discoveries in Genetics

The Ghost in your Genes

This is a wonderful online video.. let it download fully before you start to play it unless you have super fast download speeds..

"Biology stands on the brink of a shift in the understanding of inheritance. The discovery of epigenetics – hidden influences upon the genes – could affect every aspect of our lives."

They say: it will change the way the causes of disease are viewed, as well as the importance of lifestyles and family relationships.
What people do no longer just affects themselves, but can determine the health of their children and grandchildren in decades to come. "We are," as Marcus Pembrey says, "all guardians of our genome."

We have known these things in our study with kinesiology - we have also known that it is possible to switch on or off the expression of genetics - and with the energetic shifts that can be made with homeopathy and energy medicine the expression of genes can also be influenced.

Quote - George Bernard Shaw

Found in the latest Voyeur Mag from Virgin Blue.. a good read by the way - its something I think they do better than Qantas!

Shaw said:

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man!

Let's get unreasonable!!!!

Serious Reactions to Drug Trials

I realise this article on drug trials and what can go wrong is an oldie.. BUT I just returned from Melbourne where they are happily advertising on Nova Radio (by the way a fun and generally good station!) that healthy young people who are not on any medication can be paid for taking part in drug trials - to assess the way certain drugs are processed in the body.

There was not one mention of the fact that these trials may harm you and even in some circumstances, may be life threatening.

Check out the link re the drug trials that went horribly wrong in the UK this year.. in fact 6 healthy men all under 40 suffered multiple organ failure, and two were said to be critically ill.

So this is a warning to the unwary. Even if you are broke and this appears to be a good way to make some cash.. think again. Don't donate your body to science before you are dead! Science is not always on the right track.

David Suzuki on people stealing his research!

Great post re David Suzuki - "Steal my research - that's what it's for!" what an incredible attitude that we could do with so much more on this planet. Sharing will move us only forward. Conscious Earth,

This may seem obvious to some, but the whole point of conducting and publishing this research is to get people to actually use it. As public education, it helps raise awareness of environmental problems. But more important, it provides solutions to those problems. And most of those solutions are best implemented by our political and business leaders, rather than by individuals.

So if you ask me if it bothers me that politicians are stealing the solutions brought forward by my foundation, the answer is no. To use a computer term, we consider this information "open source." It's a free buffet; please take all you like. The whole reason why we do the research is to effect change. If those who have the power to make those solutions happen actually use that information, so much the better. This is how change happens.

Wayne Mansfield - helps promote your business.

Do a search on Wayne Mansfield and you will come up with a lot of stuff. And that's basically just what it is "stuff" - known as the "Spam King" (boy were 'they' out to get him!!) - Wayne Mansfield, in my opinion does great work.

We did some business coaching with him in the past year - and recently attended the Sell2006 seminar day which was great.

Very useful information on business and how to promote yourself. If you get the opportunity to work with Wayne, go for it.. it will be well worth your while.

Share Trading and Investing

Just back from a very interesting evening - on share trading and investing - what's this got to do with health and wellbeing and bringing us to our full potential.. you may ask!!

Well in my opinion ethical investing, a healthy bank balance, is all part of a well balanced human being.
And coming out of my history of being a traveller in this Universe, having meandered through much of my life with little thought often to financial health, it is now an important aspect that I consider.

Look at it this way.. you may be full of physical health - and owe heaps of money - you may have a wonderful relationship - and worry daily about where your next meal may come from - you may feel totally spiritually connected - but be concerned for the welfare of your children. So it is all part of the balance.

So getting back to tonight - if you are looking for some great advice in the field of investment you can't go too wrong with StockDoctor. They have an excellent program and lots of very good support for the little investor as well as the already wealthy investor.

Check out their website .. and if you want a personal recommendation feel free to email me.

Sunless Suntan Proves Possible

Great news.. for those of us who love to be tanned and don't dare lie out in the sun any more because of sun damaged skin.

Sun seekers and tanning-bed junkies take note: Researchers have induced honest-to-goodness suntans in mice without exposing them to ultraviolet (UV) rays. Instead, they rubbed a lotion into the critters' skin that activated their tanning machinery, which then protected the mice from UV's cancer-causing effects. The animals carried a mutation making them fair skinned and unable to tan otherwise, like human redheads, suggesting that a similar tanning trick might help even the pastiest of us bask in the sun without worry.

....researchers applied the plant compound forskolin, which is known to promote cellular production of a molecule called cyclic AMP, a chemical that the normal MC1R also targets.

When anointed daily with forskolin, the mice developed a rich caramel hue, report David Fisher of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and colleagues in the September 21 Nature. "After a couple of weeks they were virtually black," Fisher says. These bronzed rodents were nearly as resistant to UV-induced sunburn as naturally black-colored mice, and even animals especially prone to skin cancer saw fewer and slower-developing tumors when slathered with forskolin. Fisher says his group is working to identify a compound that would offer similar protection to people and is safe to apply.

Go researchers.. it could mean the end of the sunbed industry!! and way less visits to your friendly dermatologist to burn off those nasty sunspots!

Shoulder Pain Gone!

I had a great treatment today.. I have had a really painful right shoulder and arm since a heavy fall when I slipped on a wet kitchen floor about two months ago! Sahaja has been able to help me quite a lot with her kinesiology skills, but there was a lot of residual pain.

Today I saw Rob Bondanno in Joondalup - he had been referred to me by a good friend Del Wheatland (massage therapist extraordinaire..) and she was SO right!

An hour of fairly intensive pressure point therapy.. not his name for it.. and my nearly frozen and very painful shoulder has freed up considerably.

I am very happy to be pain free again I can tell you.

You can call us here at Best Health if you would like Rob's contact details.

Mobile phones - helpful tricks

EMERGENCY
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112
If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an
emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to
establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112
can be dialled even if the keypad is locked.

And another really nifty trick!!

This may come in handy someday and is a good reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and your car opens with a remote, and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person
at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on
their end.
Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your
keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away,
and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you
can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

The person who sent this through to us by email said:
Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"

Great trick.. only trouble was last time I locked myself out of my car was at the beach.. I dumped my bag including keys and mobile phone in the surf as I fell over! Ooops.. the whole went!

and don't forget yer parrot!

Albert

I met a man called Albert at the Chris Howard Seminar last weekend.. he was 82 years old and was sprightly to say the least. He was there to clear some blocks that he had regarding his family who he felt were wanting him to hold back.

He wanted to create more money again for them it seemed..
an honorable man - with a very nice smile and heaps of courage.

If you ever get to read this Albert .. then it would be nice to have coffee one day?

Breast Cancer - the questionable value of mammography

Mammograms are horrible to have.. they squish you into a vice like instrument and direct ionising radiation into your tender and delicate breast tissue. Personally I advocate thermographic examination first and foremost.. and it is what I use myself.

However for some more info on mammograms and breast cancer this seems to be a pretty informative site.

And for more info on Thermography check out what Dr Mercola has to say.

What food companies don't want you to know

The top ten things food companies don't want you to know - is an article well worth reading for your health

Note on the dangers of plastic food packaging - Bisphenol is also implicated in chronic obesity - so the plastics we are exposed to are setting us up for obesity - and obesity is a factor in so many chronic disease states.

We come back to the advice of "read the labels" don't eat numbers, (additives) and buy unprocessed and unpackaged food where possible.

Reading labels takes time of course, but once you have done your homework, you can go back to the supermarket and just buy the products you have researched already. Just re-check every now and then - because they may change their formulation of course!

Breast Cancer and RadioFrequency Exposure

A thought for us women - do underwire bras increase our risk of breast cancer due to the possibility that the wires act like antennae for radio frequencies?

Interesting posts that demonstrate there is evidence that suggests that malignant breast cancer tissue is far more sensitive to RF/MW than other types of cancerous tissue - have a look at these two links for more info on this:

Great Blog to Visit...

Sahaja - sister and business partner - discovered this great blog yesterday. Good info and some nice recipes as well.

Have a look at her comments on bottled water.
Of course she is talking about the USA but some of this info applies right here as well.

Tests have shown the toxins found in some of the French bottled waters for example - Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) in Perrier!
Pthalates are estrogen mimics and can disturb hormonal balance in those exposed to it. They come from plastics.

The reference here gives you heaps of info on the advantages and NOT of using bottled water - not to mention the huge environmental impact of all those discarded plastic bottles - something we have also talked about in one of our past Best Health newsletters.

Amnesty - sign it for the refugees

Hey folks.. this is urgent.. message in the bottle for the refugees...

Amnesty International Australia needs your help to send a BIG Message to
our Senators - do not abandon refugees.

The Australian Government is proposing harsh changes to asylum seeker and refugee policy. The new law will detain children and turn away those who need our protection.

We need to send a clear message to the Government: Australians will not abandon refugees. Update: In less than one week 20,000 Australians have added their support. There's still time to add your name. Take action

International Anti-Obesity Conference - Paris

Notes from Robert Buist PhD who attended this conference...

One Billion adults overweight globally and 300 million of these are clinically obese. But in Paris in springtime, the general consensus was that outside of Paris obesity is now a global epidemic.
The bottom line of the conference seemed to be that weight loss drugs are virtually useless, eating slowly is a very important aspect as there is a 20 minute lag between actually being full and the brain recognising that fact! so over eating is a result often of rushed meals.

So what was the main message:
Improve nutrition, eat less and exercise more!

GM Icecream.. what next - to hit Oz shops!

Watch out for Unilever's latest brain wave.. GM icecream - they make Walls, Magnumn and Carte D'Or.

They are adding a GM protein to the icecream - which they SAY is unchanged from the original found in a deep sea fish..so it tastes better and they can make more interested shapes!! Check out the whole article.

It states:

It (Unilever) has also had the go-ahead in Australia and New Zealand despite objections by the health departments of the states of Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales and the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.

Great news for our kids - lets just experiment on them that little bit more with something that is so new we have no idea what it may do to us in the long run.

More Data on HRT and Breast Cancer

Published in July issue of Archives of Internal Medicine -data on 121,700 women - part of the Nurses Health Study, looked at the long-term effects of estrogen-plus- testosterone therapy. (Full report of this story here.)

During 24 years of follow-up for the study, there were 4,610 cases of breast cancer. The 29 women who were taking estrogen plus testosterone had a 77 percent higher risk of developing breast cancer than those who never used hormone therapy, the researchers reported.

The risk associated with this combination therapy was higher than the risk associated with estrogen therapy (15 percent) and of estrogen-plus-progestin therapy (58 percent), Tamimi said.

They also said studies on alternative or complementary therapies demonstrated these were not helpful - but an interesting fact showed up - a placebo effect showed a 50% reduction in menopausal symptoms in 12 weeks!

So bring on the placebo I say!! and let's look at where the real healing and balancing effect comes from in so many of our 'therapies'? Its not the drug - or the herb - or the pill.. healing comes from within.

I believe that we make up our minds to be well - and whether we are assisted with that from another, or even believe that we are healed by another - ultimately the healing comes from within.

Healing - the microcosm to heal the macrocosm.

Healing - what a huge topic - and what a fascinating one..what does it mean to me? It means anything from helping a person get over their stress or body illness, to healing the damage done by the distorted thinking that says throwing bombs at someone who throws rockets at you is any form of solution!

Bombing Beirut - how unthinkable is that? When will we get a sense of the futility of this type of action? When will we understand clearly enough that violence is never a solution. That the solution can only be found outside of the problem - that the solution needs to go to the very root of the problem to find the cause to find the deep poison that is seeping up and polluting our whole planet.

Right now I want to cry - the pain of it is so deep.. if you read this - reach out and hold the person's hand who is closest to you - connect - because connect we must with ourselves and our neighbour - it too late to solve the problems by throwing our anger and rage at each other.

Please wake up - please hold the hand of the person close to you - and through that we may reach out to those on the other side of the planet - or across the border who may look different to us, who may worship in a different way, who may think differently, but who all bleed when hurt - who all have the capacity to love and to cry and are human beings and another part of me and you.

Kinesiology - what is?

This is something we do every day - talk to our client's body/beingness.. by muscle monitoring. Sounds a little weird and very difficult to explain in a quick blog, but it is well worth your while to try it out sometime. It is a way of asking the person's (who is being tested) questions - and getting answers by a 'change of indicator muscle' - something that stresses a person will make their muscle test weak. Simply put, if something is good for the body it will strengthen you - if it disturbs you, it will weaken you. Literally.

So what does a kinesiology session entail - usually in our clinic we help our client set a goal, and then work with all of the reasons why that person doesn't already have that goal. The aim of the work is to bring the client into a state where they are in alignment with their goals - where their whole being is supporting the direction they are wanting to move in. So simply - if you have a bad back, your goal may be to have a strong back, if you are overweight - your goal may be to be slim and fit - if you are stressed and unhappy, your goal may be to be happy and balanced.

Kinesiology can set you on the road to being able to achieve these goals.
It's a great way to do it.

to find out more on this subject you can go and check out more info at our site.

Beware plant sterols in margarine!

The Better Health Channel (a questionable title!) states that plant sterols added to our margarine make it a healthier choice than butter. These sterols can reduce your cholesterol.

Mmmm.. so where do they come from?

These phyto-sterols include beta-sitosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol, all estrogen-like compounds derived mostly from wood-pulp effluent. They are hormone-like compounds from plants, and they are present in large numbers in the effluent from the wood pulp business. Canadian, UK and Scandinavian scientists have shown that water contaminated with phytosterols causes endocrine damage to fish downstream from wood-pulp plants. The fish become "sex-inverted" and hermaphroditic; fertility is also reduced. For more on this go to this site at Weston Price

It is worth your while to read that full article.. for a look behind the scenes at this addition to our 'foods' - so what is the message here? Eat the original - don't get caught up in the hype about cholesterol - good quality natural foods are worth way more than anything that has been manipulated to appear healthier than the original!

You can't eat numbers! Additive Alert - Tim Tams!

Did you know that Australia's favourite biscuit - Tim Tams - have two food colourings in them to make them that delicious brown colour.

They are:
110 - sunset yellowwhich is a susected carcinogen, causes allergies, hyperactivity, ashmatics should avoid, and is banned in USA and Norway and used to be banned here in Oz.
And 129 - Allura Red AC - also suspected carcinogen, skin rashes and hypersensitivity. Banned in Denmark, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Norway.

So now you know why your kids go up the wall after a couple of Tim Tams.
We always say.. you can't eat numbers.. if there are numbers on the packet put it back on the shelf!

For a great read on this topic check out the book Additive Alert by Julie Eady

Cold and Flu Season - take your Vitamin C & Zinc!

There have been a large number of randomised controlled intervention trials with intakes of up to 1 g Vit C and 30 mg zinc. These trials indicate that C and zinc lesson symptoms and shorten the length of respiratory tract infections including the common cold.
Also they lessen the incidence and improve the outcome of pneumonia, malaria and diarrhoea infections especially in children in developing countries.

So folks if you want to stay healthy this winter (southern hemisphere of course!) take that Vitamin C and zinc.

Linus Pauling was not wrong.
For the past dozen years Pauling's crusade for a better understanding of nutrition and the enhancement of health has embroiled him in controversy with organized medicine and associated rear-guard nutritionists whom he contemptuously dismisses, without a trace of irony, as "old guys." The ire of the medical establishment has been focused on Pauling's suggestion that vitamin therapy, particularly the use of vitamin C, will help prevent colds, assist in the treatment of such diseases as cancer and help people to live longer and better.
from Boston Globe

We have also been experimenting with the Lectroject and so far "touch wood" each time I have started to get a cold/flu I zapped myself with that system and the sniffles and sore throat went away! I had trouble believing it myself - but it certainly seems to work. Have a look at their info here.

And if you would like to try this out - experimentally of course with no claims made, come along to Best Health for a trial. (Perth West Australia only) and also if you need good quality supplements - Vitamin C and zinc and other anti-bug immune boosters - we have some great stuff available.

Kids In Crisis

Giant food corporation Nestle are removing artificial colours from Smarties in the UK, but not here in Australia because Nestles ‘had received no complaints about Smarties’. Please, if you never do anything else about additives, do this for us, and join the Get Smarties campaign now being run by the Food Intolerance Network -

In case you are unaware of the problem with the artificial colours, and other food additives, our kids are in crisis. Last year, a quarter of children who attended outpatient services at Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne were there for learning difficulties and behavioural problems rather than medical conditions. A recent ACER survey showed that 30% of Year 9 students lacked basic literacy skills.

Now put this fact together with those figures:

Twenty years ago, when more than 800 schools in New York City removed artificial colours and two preservatives from their school lunches, the numbers of learning disabled kids halved.

Doesn't that tell you something? We can't eat numbers - if you don't know what the number stands for - and KNOW it is safe - put it back on the shelf and certainly don't give it to your kids to eat!

Tamiflu not the answer!

In a paper published online by the British journal The Lancet, the experts say they see no evidence that the top-selling drug worked against H5N1 avian influenza and fear the treatment could be of limited use if the H5N1 virus ever mutates into a feared pandemic form.
So what to do - first I'd say don't get sucked in by the fear mongers - and second - take responsibility for your own health. It is the only way to go.
Build your own immunity - and how to do that?
  1. Detoxify your digestion and your liver and gallbladder. If you need advice with this Best Health can assist you.
  2. Stop eating sugar. 1 tsp of sugar significantly reduces your immunity for up to 6 hours.
  3. Include lots of green leafy vegetables in your diet and eat garlic every day.
  4. Drink plenty of pure, flitered water every day - tap water is NOT clean! For the best filter on the market check out the Wellness Filters - they are excellent.
  5. Make sure you do exercise on a daily basis. 45 minutes - brisk walking - get your heart rate up, helps reduce colds and flu and can cut your length of illness in half.
  6. Take good quality supplements - also available through Best Health.

Finally the research supports the view of many natural therapists

Breaking news last night - According to research carried out at the University of British Columbia.
Antibiotic use in infants may double the risk of developing asthma.
They also said:
"In children, antibiotics are commonly used to treat ear infections, upper respiratory tract infections, and bronchitis, but not every childhood infection requires an antibiotic," said the study's co-author Fawziah Marra, MD, University of British Columbia. "Current guidelines recommend that children under age 2 receive an antibiotic for diagnosed ear infection. However, the majority of upper respiratory tract infections and bronchitis is viral for which antibiotics are ineffective."
So parents, keep your babies away from antibiotics and use more natural methods to clear these problems. We have found that recurrent ear infections and upper respoiratory tract problems are very often related to food allergens - especially cow's milk. It is certainly worth a try to eliminate milk for a while and see if it helps. For more info on this read the The Milk Letter

Bankrupting a Nation

Two emails I got this morning had some interesting info in them -
The first stated that
This weekend marked the third anniversary of the war in Iraq. Against whom the war is being fought, or why, has yet to be clarified, but the cost has risen to nearly $10 billion per month from the Daily Reckoning Newsletter

and the second from the newsletter of Alternative Medicine stated
We are facing an epidemic of obesity and related diseases that if not solved, will bankrupt our society.

65% of Americans are overweight, up 18% since 1994...

30% of us are obese, up from 36% since 1994...

Over 40% of us have high cholesterol...

50% of Americans over 65 have high blood pressure, and
28.7% overall, a 3.7% increase from 1991.

Nearly 70% of people are unaware they have high blood
pressure...

5.1% of us have type-2 diabetes, up 104% from 1980 to
2004...

Over 100,000,000 Americans have metabolic syndrome, which
is one step away from having type-2 diabetes...

92% of Americans are deficient in one or more essential
vitamins and minerals...

Well which one is coming first I ask!!!

Looks like we are on the brink of disaster.. to sink by war debt or health debt!
and yes sure I am am in Oz but what happens in the US seems to have a very good backwash onto us over here.

Simple solution might be..
get out of Iraq and out of the fast food shops!
Exercise more and meditate for peace.

Options for Total Health

I am really happy to say that I just achieved a goal I have had for sometime, to make a professionally recorded CD with information for optimal health. I have been able to express some of my deepest thoughts and my long held convictions on how to become healthy and stay that way.
It will soon be available on www.besthealth.com.au.

Inspirations for this presentation have come from many sources, including Wallace De Wattles - that wonderful gentleman from the 1800's - you can find his work at this site: The Science of Getting Rich Network

Hey.. I just want to say health is your birthright.. and it does not come from the Big Pharma Companies.. its your responsibility and mine .. so lets wake up and stop giving our power away.

We also just bought a Lectroject - check this out at http://www.lectroject.com/ - we have started using it, and one of our people who is involved in our trial with it, had an outbreak of herpes when she came for her first treatment and stated later that her outbreak was much less than normal.

While doing some research for a talk on health I am recording, I came again upon the Dymaxion world map of Buckminster Fuller. His work is very inspiring - I wanted to give you some links that I found -

Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983) challenged us with a bold vision:
"To make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone."

His world map aimed to do away with the common distortions that we see on the usual flat maps of the world - Furthermore, this view shows the earth as being essentially one island in one ocean.

A map of the Earth which presents geographic information in a single, comprehensive picture without breaks in any of the continental contours, or any visible distortion of the relative shapes or sizes of the land masses."
See his thoughts on global energy grids...

Purpose - what I am here for.....

To assist in raising the consciousness of the world. Sounds like one heck of a task - and it is, but we can only do it one of us at a time, one step at a time - and if lots of us go for it, then the world can come awake and become lighter and start moving away from fear and into light.
This blog is a small candle in the dark, moving to join with all the other lights out there!
And if I can help any of you to be informed - to find the way whatever that is for you, then I have succeeded in my purpose! Thanks for visiting.
