Remember all the warnings that sugar was bad for you? It still is, say some experts - but food companies are covering it up
This eye opening article is really worth a read.. the line that grabbed me was the following:
Some believe it may also be linked to diabetes.
with all the evidence out there how is it possible to make this statement?
It is said in this article...
the average can of cola contains seven teaspoons of sugar. McVitie's Go Ahead Fruit-Ins biscuits are 45.8% sugar. The weight-loss drink Slimfast is 61.9% sugar.
a weight loss drink.. 61.9% sugar.. oh my goodness...
Listen folks.. if you want to lose weight, or just want to maintain that svelte figure that you have, then please lay off the sugar. Contrary to many beliefs, it is not the fat that makes you fat.. it is the sugar. And it is insidious. It sneaks into so many things. Read labels if you want to know what is good for you and it doesn't take you too long to work out which products are worth taking off the shelf and putting into your shopping basket. But you have to read the labels carefully. If the first ingredient in that product says sugar leave it where it is.. on the shelf.
